Abstract
A meniscal ossicle is a rare cause for knee pain and an even rarer cause for pain in combination with an avulsion fracture of posterior cruciate ligament or when located at the posterior part of the lateral meniscus. We present a case of a meniscal ossicle associated with an avulsion fracture of the posterior crucriate ligament and located at the posterior root of the lateral meniscus in a 45-year-old male who presented with pain. The purpose of this article was to discuss the possible causes, the location, the differential diagnosis, and the treatment of the meniscal ossicle.
